| Oh the places we will go! From 'A' to 'T'. Peru
Our plan is to arrive in Peru this Saturday. In Peru we plan on doing the following...
Chile
Our plan is to arrive in Santiago Chile to meet one...maybe two people on January 17. In Chile we plan on doing the following...
Argentina
Our plan in Argentina is less clear.
There is still time!
If you have any free time, have the means (I am thinking of certain family members who like frequenting Latin American countries all in the name of "tires"), or are about to have the time (you are a week or so away from quitting) we want to invite you to come join us for any part of this journey! Seriously, we mean it! Come back pack Patagonia with us. Come explore Buenos Aires with us! Join the now growing list of visitors (Greg Boecker, David Anderson, Cindy Anderson, Reb Duke, Ashlea-Ann Thorton, Dud Bucher (?)) and share in this adventure with us!

An Invitation
Our lives have been fairly comfy here in Cuenca. We have had an apartment, routines, and good friends. We have explained to a variety of people what we are doing next...but just in case you have not been privy to that information, here is our graphic organizer with notes to follow.

I want to know if they call if "Valpo" down south. Also, have you come across any of those grilled/fried cheese plates I told you about? Love your posts--miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Mancora, Huaca de la Luna outside Trujillo and all the other stops you have planned. I'm thoroughly 'celoso de ustedes dos' and I hope you have some great adventure stories to share when you return to CO. BTW, here's a wiki spiel on the Lord of Sipan Museum in Lambayeque, which I thought was excellent.
ReplyDelete"The Royal Tombs Museum of Sipán, located in nearby Lambayeque contains most of the important artifacts found at Huaca Rajada, including the Lord of Sipán and his entourage. Dr. Alva helped found and support construction of the museum, which opened in 2002. The museum was designed to resemble the ancient Moche tombs. He has been appointed as director of the museum."
Where would our knowledge of geography be without Animaniacs? Great link! And receiving a comment from the the Denver Center for Justice and Peace's Activitst of the Year award (one Richard Clifford) is an honor few receive.
ReplyDeleteTiticaca always reminds me of this, which I first learned in a choir in Germany. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geographical_Fugue You should look for performances on YouTube.
